Unique Characteristics:   A very reliable and beautiful group of plants that have become the mainstay of many summer gardens. The flowers, which only last one day are so prolifically produced in modern hybrids that there are always plenty of new ones opening each day. Stems are strong and pliable with heavy bud counts and flowers carried in clusters throughout the summer months. The colors are rich and diverse and many have distinctive eye-zone markings that are very dramatic.
 
Pruning:   Cut back spent flower stems.
 
Time of Pruning:   After flowering
 
Additional Information:   If the foliage becomes unsightly during the growing season it can be cut back to approximately 6". It will quickly regrow.
