Foliage Type:   Opposite, pinnate, leaflets ovate slightly pubescent beneath.

Flower Form:   Rosette form with double petals.

Flower Color:   Creamy white with a green blush.

Flowering Date:   Mid to late summer.

Planting Requirements:   Provide shade for their roots by over planting with annuals or shallow rooted perennials, set a large flat paving stone over root zone, or mulching.

Soil Requirements:   Good drainage is important. Fertile, moisture retentive soil.

Growth Rate:   Slow to establish, don’t give up too early. Fast once established to location.

Unique Characteristics:   Climbing vine with large rosettes of double blooms in creamy white with a green blush. The green becomes more prominent in the late summer to early fall time. Easily clambers up trellises, decorative vine supports or fences.

Pruning:   Benefits from a hard prune above the second and third bud set.

Time of Pruning:   Late winter to early spring.

Additional Information:   This variety is good for container growing. The container can be easily moved to an unheated garage for the winter months. It is a bit temperamental in getting started. But be patient, the blooms are well worth the wait.
